Regional Dossier

The following file represents a Spider Group regional assessment of Everbloom, a major agricultural territory and primary food-producing region within Yarth. Sections may be expanded for detailed intelligence notes, settlement summaries, institutional analysis and active rumours.

Overview

Everbloom is a stable agricultural heartland and primary food-producing region within Yarth, characterised by fertile terrain, a mild climate, and tightly organised halfling communities whose presence in the region dates back to the beginning of the Second Age.

The region maintains active trade networks and multiple skyports, supporting broader airship logistics across the continent.

While culturally insular and resistant to rapid arcane-industrial expansion, local populations remain outwardly cooperative and economically engaged.

No direct Voraxous activity confirmed; however, minor irregularities in seasonal growth patterns have been noted and remain under observation.

Geography

Everbloom is a coastal, crescent-shaped landmass defined by a central mountain spine known as the Bloomrise Mountains and extensive fertile terrain.

Bloomwood Forest dominates the southern and western regions, where halfling communities integrate small-scale farming and hunting within dense woodland environments.

Conventional agriculture is concentrated in the north, while settlements such as Greenrest, Bloomreach Village, and Honeymead are distributed throughout the region.

The climate is mild and temperate, supporting year-round agriculture. Industrialisation remains limited, although key settlements maintain skyports supporting regional trade and logistics.

No direct draconic alteration has been confirmed. However, the unusual uniformity of the mountain chain and minor irregularities in crop growth suggest low-level arcane influence, potentially linked to wider Voraxous activity.

Settlements

Major Settlements

  • Greenrest — Primary administrative and trade hub. Functions as the region's central coordination point for agricultural distribution and incoming airship traffic. Largest settlement in the region.
  • Edengrove — Regional distribution centre. Consolidates and processes crops from north-west Everbloom and hosts the largest non-halfling population in the region.
  • Honeymead — Cultural and production centre known for high-quality food and drink production, seasonal festivals, and strong local traditions.
  • Hobblefield — Regional distribution centre supporting agricultural exports and a respected artisan furniture industry.
  • Burbleton — Traditional halfling seat of governance and home of the Small Council.
  • Harveston — Highland agricultural and artisanal settlement supporting cheese production, limited tourism, fishing and mining.
  • Bloomreach Village — Woodland-based community integrated directly into Bloomwood Forest.
  • Pipkin Hollow — Highland outpost supporting light cultivation and small-scale mining.
  • Ciderhollow — Orchard community specialising in fruit cultivation and cider production.
  • Greenbarrow Village — Woodland settlement combining forest habitation with fishing and cultivation.
  • Barleybrook — Coastal fishing community supporting local processing and maritime trade.
People & Culture

Everbloom is populated predominantly by halfling communities, with limited integration of other races concentrated in trade-facing settlements such as Edengrove.

Halflings maintain a stable, agrarian lifestyle centred on community cohesion, land stewardship and long-established seasonal cycles.

Cultural norms emphasise cooperation, moderation and discretion. Communities operate through shared labour systems and informal oversight, with strong social awareness limiting deviant behaviour.

Artistic expression focuses largely on foodcraft, music, seasonal festivals and artisan goods.

Primary languages are Halfling and Common, with minor Dwarvish usage in northern settlements.

Government & Power

Governance within Everbloom is centralised within the Small Council, seated in Burbleton.

Authority is derived primarily from longstanding communal consensus rather than strict hierarchy, with stability and continuity placed above expansion.

Enforcement remains informal but effective, supported by strong social cohesion and regional familiarity.

Industrial expansion has had limited influence over governance, with decision-making consistently favouring sustainability and risk mitigation over rapid growth.

No major internal factions have been identified.

Economy & Industry

Everbloom's economy is primarily agrarian, serving as a major food-producing region through large-scale cultivation, livestock production, and woodland-supported subsistence practices.

Agricultural output is consolidated through Greenrest, Edengrove and Hobblefield before distribution through established airship and maritime trade routes.

Secondary industries include fishing, orchard cultivation, managed timber production and limited highland mining.

Arcane mechanisation remains selective and largely limited to transport and logistical systems.

The Greenrest Skyport Authority functions as the principal coordinating body for regional trade logistics.

Threats & Conflicts

Everbloom presents minimal direct threat exposure compared with many other regions of Yarth.

Internal conflict is negligible, supported by strong social cohesion and decentralised governance structures.

Common risks are environmental and logistical in nature, including seasonal supply strain, transport delays and isolated skyport incidents.

No confirmed dragon activity, including that attributed to Voraxous, has been observed.

Persistent low-level anomalies, particularly irregular crop behaviour, unusual environmental consistency and subtle geographic uniformity, remain under ongoing observation.

Overall threat assessment: LOW.

Rumours & Legends

The Quiet Keepers of the Fields

Persistent local belief suggests that an unnamed order quietly preserves weather stability, crop health and regional balance through unseen means.

The Sky Doesn't Drift Here

Airship crews occasionally report unusually stable and predictable wind conditions above Everbloom, leading some to suggest that the skies themselves are somehow being held in place.

The One Who Perfects the Plate

A halfling myth speaks of an individual who will ultimately restore balance to the world through mastery of craft and hospitality rather than conquest.
